What is it with ‘Lady Luck` and Fulham at the moment?

No sooner do we lose one player, John Pantsil, to a World Cup threatening injury, we then go and lose another.

Seeing Clint Dempsey, obviously in distress, at Blackburn suffering from a bad knee injury brought a lump to most people`s throats.

Clint has been one of our better players this season and with Bobby Zamora also sidelined we`re going to miss Clint more than ever.

Going for a scan, immediately after leaving the pitch, the initial diagnosis isn`t good with Roy Hodgson commenting,

“We fear it might be posterior cruciate knee ligaments in which case it`s very bad. The initial prognosis often proves to be the correct one.”

If so, Clint will join John Pantsil in the race to recover in time to participate in the 2010 World Cup.

Who was it who said that football could be a cruel game?
