Following our gallant 0-0 draw up at the JJB Stadium, a game we should have won, Roy Hodgson was able to reflect on his decision to stick with Bobby Zamora.
Before the game there had been a lot of talk suggesting that Hodgson was torn between sticking with Zamora or giving Erik Nevland a start.
Here`s what Roy had to say about how things panned out,
“Bobby`s combination with Andy (Johnson) was good and caused problems for Wigan.”
“He had a good shot in the first half and an unlucky touch with his header.”
“Bobby needs a goal but I am really happy with his performance and Andy as well.”
“We looked dangerous and it is a concern we couldn`t convert our possession into goals.”
“On Monday we will be saying this was a golden opportunity to end our away win duck.”
Why Monday and not Sunday Roy?
