There`s a gut wrenching quote from Roy Hodgson that`s published in all the tabloids this morning.
In it Roy talks about the last time he was in a position whereby Europe dominates the agenda.
It came during his time at Blackburn Rovers, in 1998, and eventually got him the sack, let`s let Roy explain,
“When I went to Blackburn we finished sixth and got into Europe.”
“I remember running round Ewood Park celebrating in front of 28,000 people but it didn`t help me the following season when we were at the bottom at Christmas and I got sacked.”
Let`s hope lightning doesn`t strike twice then shall we?
