Sat reading the newspaper, I was a little taken aback at recognising Roy Hodgson`s name being mentioned by the reporters.
Unfortunately, I hadn`t heard the context in which his name had been made so I had to hastily surf the internet.
Apparently, as well as being mentioned as a possible candidate for the Sweden national coach position, Roy has also been targeted by Norway.
Obviously, his standing in Scandinavia is as high as ever but it appears we can sleep easy at night with Roy having commented,
‘It’s very nice to be mentioned. I’ve made it clear to the people who have contacted me that I have a contract so it’s a non-starter and there is no point in them considering me.’
Glad to hear it Roy, we`re glad to hear it!
