The emergence of Romanian football, in the European competitions, could well throw up a bargain or two for those clubs willing to take a plunge.

With Fulham having to do without the services of Bobby Zamora for up to eight weeks, Roy Hodgson has already intimated that he, if the price is right, could recruit this January.

If that is the case then the Sunday People may well have hit the nail firmly on the head when it runs a story implying that Fulham are looking to capture the Romanian international, Florin Costea.

Costea, just twenty-five years of age, was the top scorer in Romanian football last season for his club, Universitatea Craiova, and could cost as little as £1.5 million.

This one has got interested written all over it has it not?
