If pressed I`d willingly admit that I can`t see what all the fuss was about when it came to signing Jonathan Greening!

Rumour after rumour covered his potential arrival and although the deal was done as a loan deal it`s implied he`ll move to Craven Cottage permanently next summer.

But I may have been a bit harsh on the lad as all the uncertainty, according to Greening, affected his pre-season build up.

Greening is quoted on Sky Sports as saying about the move and the uncertainty,

‘It was going on for about 10 weeks in the end I think so it would have been nice to have come at the start of pre-season and had a full pre-season but it wasn’t to be.”

‘I only came here a week before the start so I have been catching up a bit.”

‘I do want to stay here, definitely.”

‘I just have to keep working hard and try to get into the team. I will hopefully get a run of games because everyone needs a few games to get up and running.’

Right! I`m a generous man. I`ll give you until Christmas to make my min dup although a goal at Upton Park today (Sunday) might make a considerable impact.
