Fulham – Gray Wants Away

He’s been offered an extended deal to stay at Craven Cottage but Julian Gray’s desire for first team football looks as though it will see him turn his back on the offer?

Gray, who joined Fulham on a season long loan last summer before making it a permanent deal in January, has grown so frustrated with his lack of opportunities that he has decided that he will probably move on in the summer: ‘The club want me to stay and have offered me a contract, but it’s very frustrating when you’re not playing games.

‘There’s not much point in signing a new deal at a club where you are not even playing.’

The 29-year-old hasn’t made an appearance in the Premier League this season and his chances of doing so don’t look to be getting any better so the former Coventry man looks as though he’ll be going back to whence he came, well maybe not back to Chris Coleman’s side, but on his way back to the Championship?

Credit must be given to Gray, as in the day and age we do live it would be very easy for him to take the money and sign a new deal but clearly he wants to be playing football but his chances aren’t looking good with Fulham.

Do you think that Julian Gray was worth more of a shot, or has Roy Hodgson got the decision not to play the winger right, like he has most else things over the past 12-months or so?
