Anyone who has been following Vital Fulham since I took over the editorial reins will know that I always rated Liam Rosenior.
I thought it was a bad deal when a swap was instigated with Reading, a swap whereby they got Liam and we got Seol. At the time Liam was an ever present in our side and only being forcibly withdrawn after throwing up, during a match, prevented him from playing every minute of every game in his last season with us.
Since his move to Reading I`ve continued to monitor his progress and I`m well chuffed for the lad that he`s so close to returning to the Premier League.
Tonight, his side attempt to turn around a 1-0 deficit against Burnley in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg, it`s a fixture that Liam has described as his cup final when, on the eve of the game, he`s remarked,
“You want to play in cup finals and big games. This is bigger than the cup final because it is a chance to play in the biggest league in the world.”
“I took playing in the Premier League for granted when I was there and it makes me want to get back there even more.”
I`m sure you`ll join me in wishing Liam all the best for tonight.
