After the struggles of last season whereby we loitered for far too long in the relegation places, it`s still hard to come to terms with the fact that our current home record is so awesome.

After all, this time last year you`d probably have been laughed at if you were to describe craven cottage as a fortress, but that is what it has become with most who venture into the quaint old place perishing on the pitch.

It`s a point picked up upon by Roy Hodgson who, in the build up the fixture with Hull City had a little dig at our rivals from down the road, remarking,

“What we`ve done is more than I hoped for.”

“If someone had told me before the start of the season that we`d have a better home record than Chelsea I`d have been really surprised and asked some questions about them, so we`re really happy with what we`ve done.”

Now let`s hope Roy hasn`t put the mockers on things!

  • i liked the fact he picked out chelsea for a mocking, rub it in their faces roy!! we have been absolutely superb, and i heard a pundit say the other day it was due to our ‘differently’ styled ground?? not sure about that, but it does make goin to the match a hell of a lot better knowing that we are likely to pick up 3 points!! 😀
