Fulham – For West Brom read Manchester United

I don’t care about what happened last Saturday.

I’m going to ignore the old saying about you only being as good as your last game and focus on our trip to the West Midlands this weekend.

It promises to be a good game with West Brom still on a high after a win at Middlesbrough last weekend, a win that Tony Mowbrary would have enjoyed against a club he knows only to well.

Roy Hodgson is well aware of the danger West Brom will pose and ahead of the game has remarked,

‘I’ve seen a couple of West Brom’s games but I won’t be treating this match any different to, say, a game against Manchester United.’

‘Football’s different every time you step on the field, look at the game between Hull and Arsenal at the weekend, a lot of people would have bet against Hull but that’s just the way football is at the moment, everyone’s beating everyone else.

‘Over the last few years football’s been getting tighter, you’re seeing more and more cup upsets and the gap between teams everywhere is getting smaller and smaller.’

Fine words Roy, apart from one thing, I’d feel a lot happier if you’d have used the name of Arsenal instead of Manchester United, seeing as we beat the Gunners!
