Fulham Finally Get Their Man After Agreeing On Some Kind Of Fee With Newcastle

|

At last, at long last, it finally seems that Fulham have agreed to a deal with Newcastle United for the Serbian centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrovic.

According to the respected news source, Sky Sports, Fulham have agreed on a fee, said to be of the magnitude of £22 million for the player, which is a lot higher than the £16 million the club had reputedly previously offered.

However, depending on how the 23-year-old does at Craven Cottage, that fee could rise to £27 million with add-ons.

Last season, as Fulham snatched promotion courtesy of a win in the Play-Off Final, at Wembley, against Aston Villa, Mitrovic was an integral part of a turnaround in form, from January onwards, that saw Fulham emerge as serious promotion contenders.

However, whilst delving into the world of social media there is some disputing as to whether the fee quoted is actually what Fulham will pay:

However, whilst there may be doubts about the actual price, sat here in the Vital Fulham editorial chair, I’m just glad a deal has, apparently, been done. All that remains to be seen is whether the Serbian can replicate the form he showed in the Championship in the Premier League. I guess time will soon tell!
