After explaining away the fact that he had no qualms about Danny Murphy stepping up to take responsibility for the early penalty last night, Roy Hodgson spoke about the match and the task ahead of us in Switzerland.
Here`s what Roy had to say,
“The second half wasn`t up to the standard of our first half play but credit to CSK, who brought on some talented players on some talented players when they had nothing to lose with 20 minutes left.”
“We have a tough task ahead of us. But it will give it our best shot. We always knew we would have to win our last two games so we know what to expect.”
“We will do our very best to get a result and whatever team I put out I can trust the players.”
Obviously Roy has a dilemma!
The Premier League is tour priority but we`ve come so far in the Europa League, we`ve battled through qualification, we`ve battled through five group games, so is it not worth persevering, playing your best eleven available and going for glory?
