Fulham Enter Summer Transfer Market By Signing Two Internationals

|

At a time when we were seriously wondering exactly who Slavisa Jokanovic would add to the squad before the big kick-off, the club announced, last week, that two signings have been confirmed.

The first, that of the Ivory Coast midfielder, Jean Michael Seri, is particularly pleasing.

Last summer the Nice midfielder was courted by none other than Barcelona, but a deal couldn’t be finalised.

The 26-year-old has 18 international caps and during his time with Nice made 103 appearances scoring 12 times.

Talking about securing the deal, and as reported by the BBC, Tony Khan has remarked,

“Jean Michael arrives with Premier League qualities as well as great promise for the future, which is why he has been at the very top of our target list for a long time.”

Whereas the player is quoted as having commented, by the same source, about the move,

“I’m delighted to be here, it’s a new adventure that starts for me and I’m hoping it will all go well.

“It was great to get the move finalised.”

Seri has put pen-to-paper on a deal that ties him to Craven Cottage until 2022 with the option of a further year.

The second signing is that of the French defender, Maxime le Marchand, a player who has also played for Nice during his career with the 28-year-old has played 81 times for the French club.

However, the club hasn’t released the details of how long a contract le Marchand has signed.

Here at Vital Fulham, we’d like to officially welcome both players to our fine club, both are fantastic additions who should serve us well in our return to top-flight football.
