It’s still a contentious issue to see Manchester City competing in the UEFA Cup after gaining a place through a ‘Fair Play’ league!

I still can’t handle the fact that. With the scores apparently tied, a red card received by Richard Dunne, didn’t see them finish below is.

Sadly, I’d hazard a guess that UEFA don’t take into consideration the behaviour of the crowd in these sort of things, because if they did I have every belief that we’d have won hands down.

Why? Because, as reported on the official site, the Premier League confirmed what we knew all along by awarding us a cheque for the sum of £20,000 in recognition of the fact that our supporters topped the ‘Premier League’s Behaviour of the Public Fair Play Table’ last season.

Apparently, our total of 319 points surpassed the totals of every other club and earned us the following tribute from those that run Fulham Football Club,

‘The Club would like to thank its fans for their exemplary behaviour.’

Altogether now,

‘We’re the best behaved supporters in the land, we’re the best behaved supporters in the land, we`re the best behaved supporters, best behaved supporters, best behaved supporters in the land.’

As for the destination of the money, it’ll be used for the Johnny Haynes Statue Fund, a very worthy cause.
