The KC Stadium beckons but rumours about possible transfers both in and out of Craven Cottage fail to die.

Today I’ve picked up a tabloid only to discover that Blackburn Rovers are keen to lure Paul Konchesky to Ewood Park.

Paul Ince, in danger of losing Steven Warnock, has targeted Konchesky as a possible replacement.

A fee of £2 million is mentioned by the tabloid but we have our doubts about a deal being done.

Konchesky is a valued member of our squad and a steady performer to boot, would Roy Hodgson sanction a sale this close to the start of the Premier League without already having a suitable replacement, we sincerely doubt it!

  • I think you’re totally right! If Roy in any way had thought about selling Paul, we’d have been linked with a Left back at some point during the off season and probably already bought him!
I think Paul will be playing well with us for this season and hopefully more to come. He’s a vital part of the defence that will keep us solid and is very good going forward too
