Fulham’ injury jinx looks set to continue after the news that defender Zat Knight could be out for months.
The defender has been a tower of strength for Chris Coleman this term, with his efforts earning him the club’s captaincy, but he is likely to spend a number of weeks on the sidelines after fracturing his jaw in a domestic incident.
It has not yet been confirmed how long Knight will be sidelined for, but it is likely to be well into the New Year before he returns to action.
‘He was at home with his brother and it was freak incident apparently,’ Coleman said after The Cottagers goalless draw with West Ham United.
‘I don’t know too much about it. Yesterday, he had an X-ray which revealed he has two breaks in his jaw.
‘It is unfortunate because he’s been doing great for us. This is the best season he’s had for us in the last three or four years.
‘Now he’s going to be out for the next two months.’
