Fulham – Competition for Stockdale?

Image for Fulham – Competition for Stockdale?

If you look at the Fulham squad, one weak area is that of the goal keeper.

Now we`re not belittling the talents of Mark Schwarzer but when it comes to a touch of the youthfulness we must have the oldest pairing around when it comes to Mark and his current under study, Pascal Zuberbuhler.

In fact, David Stockdale, signed from Darlington, is probably the future for Fulham at the moment.

Therefore, it`s not unrealistic to see Fulham linked with a move into the transfer market for a keeper.

One name we`ve already been associated with is the twenty-nine year old Bosnian stopper, Sead Ramovic.

Ramovic currently plays for the Norwegioan side Tromso but has refused to sign a new contract expressing a desire ot move to England.

His agent, Knut Hoibraaten, has already indicated that one English club has made him an offer. At this moment in time the quotes attributed to Knut would indicate that club is Birmingham.

“He got an offer, we had long negotiations with Tromso about a new contract but he refused it.”

“He will be leaving for sure. He finishes the season in one or two weeks` time.”

“He would like to move to England. It`s his first choice and the league that would suit him best.”

But Birmingham seem closer to his signature than Fulham do with his agent continuing,

“Birmingham were here but I will not talk to you about it now.”

Trying to rustle up another offer from a higher ranking club possibly?
