You do not know anything about having an injured player when you can replace him with a choice of many other multi million pound bench warmers.
Fulham have virtually all of their key players in the treatment room yet still managed to make your multi million pound circus look average.
The media are yet again having a go at Colman this morning basically telling him to shut up for daring to complain about a referee’s decision…But of course the ‘Top Managers’ can say what they like and get the backing of the media…(in my opinion!)
Coleman felt Halsey should have awarded Fulham a penalty when the score was 0-0, when Cech looked to have held onto Brown, but the referee had already decided the midfielder had fouled the goalkeeper as he slid in for the ball. In the final minute, Coleman believed Didier Drogba climbed over Papa Bouba Diop in the penalty area but again the decision went Chelsea’s way.
Coleman added…..’If we’re going to have Mark Halsey in future, I hope it’s not against Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool or Chelsea. The big teams at Craven Cottage, when we have him there’s controversy. So for his sake as well as ours, he shouldn’t be here.’
The media are yet again having a go at Micheal Brown this time with reference to his tackle on Cole….Perhaps they will start on another player soon….er perhaps Cole.
Brown commented…
‘I don’t think there was a problem with it,’ said Brown, ‘The referee said it was a foul, and that was the end of it. As far as I’m concerned, it was just another tackle.’
Coleman…. ‘If it was a bad one, and he should have been red-carded, I’ll deal with Michael,’ he said.
Fulham pressured Chelsea all the way until the penalty but then ran out of ideas and puff, But Chelsea were made to look average for a lot of the game with Lampard not particularly having a good game (the only good bits being the penalty and the 2nd goal)his passing was a joke, Shevshenko and Robben were anonymous.
I think we as Fulham supporters should be proud of our injury decimated squad and should show continued support for a club that still has the ability (even with a reserve team) to make these multi million pound teams squeal.
