With our ‘Bullard for Spurs` exclusive still a very discussable subject, it`s interesting to see that the waters have been further muddied by an article that has appeared in the press this morning.
If true, it would put into question any suggestion that Bullard has priced himself out of a new contract at Craven Cottage as it`s been revealed that Bullard would be happy to stay at Craven Cottage for a reduced salary.
The claim is backed up by quotes from a source close to Bullard who is quoted as saying,
“Jimmy loves Fulham and doesn`t want to leave. He`s had four meetings with the club and has repeatedly asked them to make him an offer.”
“But they have not done so – even though Jimmy has told them he would take 20 per cent less in his pay.”
A startling revelation or has Jimmy laid claim to being the first footballer to react favourably to the credit crunch?
