Fulham Boss Doesn’t Fear The Axe As His Side Continue To Struggle

|

Tonight, at the John Smiths Stadium, Slavisa Jokanovic will be hoping that his charges can record only their second win of the 2018 / 2019 Premier League season.

Fulham’s start to the campaign hasn’t exactly gone to plan.

After a large summer transfer splurge, the Cottagers find themselves in the bottom three of the Premier League.

Tonight, Huddersfield Town, who occupy the bottom spot in the table, are Fulham’s opposition and anything other than a win could see speculation emerging relating to Jokanovic’s position at the club.

But, ahead of the game and talking to the media at his pre-match press conference and as reported by the BBC, Jokanovic isn’t fearful of losing his job, remarking:

“This kind of situation is part of football. I am not here three days, I am here three years and the board must have some kind of opinion about my work.

“From my side, I have the confidence, and believe in my job. People around me are professional and we don’t try to make some crazy things.

“We know it’s not an easy job ahead of us, we must be brave and encourage the team not to stop, never give up.”

Hopefully, a win tonight will ease the pressure, otherwise, a judgement call, somewhere down the line, will have to be made.
