After looking to be on course for a January return Diomansy Kamara has had a set back.

Our £6 million signing, from West Bromwich Albion, has had to have a second operation on the knee he injured whilst away on international duty.

According to reports in the media, further pain and swelling to the knee meant that he had to return to Paris clinic he had the first operation at.

If things go smoothly, it`s now anticipated that Diomansy may be ready for a February 2009 return.

Our best wishes go to the striker.

  • It is quite a blow considering what striking options we have at the moment. I would like to see how he performs in the second half of the season and then pass judgement after his more ‘off’ than ‘on’ displays last term. Come on Jo, more bikeys please!!!

  • Let’s not forget it was Joe that sparked our revival by scoring that winner at Eastlands. I wish him all the best in his recovery.
