Fulham have been drawn away to Leicester City in the third round of the FA Cup.

The two squads last met in the league in April 2004 at The Walkers Stadium when Fulham won 2-0 in a Premiership game. Their last meeting in a cup competition was in the quarter-final of the 1999/2000 League Cup when Leicester were 8th in the Premiership and Fulham were 9th in the Championship. The Foxes won the game 3-0 on penalties (match report) with Fulham players, including Chris Coleman, failing to score any penalties.

These days Leicester are struggling at 20th in the Premiership without a win in their last 6 games.

Other fixtures in the round include Liverpool versus Arsenal and Manchester United at home to Martin O’Neill’s Aston Villa.

Paul Ince’s Macclesfield will travel to Chelsea, while Portsmouth face Wigan and Everton meet Blackburn Rovers in all-Premiership ties, while Spurs get Cardiff which could be a banana skin for them!
