Knock me down with a feather!
Sat perusing the results as they filtered through last night the name of one of ex-players popped up, none other than David Healy.
Healy, who seems capable of scoring at will in international football, never really proved himself at Craven Cottage, the allure of playing for us never seemed to trigger that self belief that all goal scorers have and he was moved on.
It appears to be a scenario that has afflicted him in club football with him, and I know it sounds incredibly harsh, flattering to deceive wherever he`s been.
So imagine my surprise to see Healy named as the scorer of the equalizing goal for Ipswich Town (where he is on loan from Sunderland) last night.
The goal was Healy`s first since 7th February 2009 and we`re left wondering could it, what with the winter Olympics going on and all that, be the start of an avalanche of goals?
As an aside, what did you make of Healy when he was with us?

Healy is a squad player at Premier League level – good for cup matches and the last 10 minutes of matches already in the bag. But, I think he’d be a solid Championship player – good for 6-10 goals a season. Might be even better in the SPL. No hard feelings from his time at Fulham. I wish him well.
it wasn’t his fault that lawrie thought he could cut it… he just couldn’t…
I liked him, felt he did well alongside McBride, but that was mainly because McBride did carry him a bit. Healy couldn’t ever really do it by himself. He always needed a bigger, stronger player next to him
never rated the guy – enuff said!
bit strong mate,a bit strong!
