So, pre-season has rapidly evolved and the results thus far have been a mixed bag with some fantastic wins and a couple of dissapointing results.

Furthermore, positions in the team suddenly seem very strong, such as central midfield.

Only a few weeks ago we were left with just Etuhu and Murphy yet know we have Andranik back from his loan, Bjorn Helge Riise signed up, Kagiso Dikgacoi reportedly on trial and Roy intent on signing Jonathan Greening.

However, it seems that this coming week will quickly shape some important details of our forthcoming season.

Most importantly there is the issue of beating FK Vetra in the Europa League match which will mean more Thursday night games throughout the season adding to our fixture list and would be a useful bargaining chip when trying to keep Hangeland.

Also, there is the issue of a certain pair of strikers. Bobby Zamora will decide whether he wants to move to bright lights of the city of Hull or stay in sunny old SW6 whilst the confusion around Peter Crouch will most likely be decided.

Let’s hope everything goes to Roy’s detailed plans.
