Just when I was beginning to think we had let go of out pursuit of Mr Altidore, they go and link us with him again.
This time though, things don’t seem to be quite in our favour.
As with practically all of our transfer links, we don’t seem to be the only interested party, with Hull, Everton and now even Burnley looking for the American’s services.
It seems that with Phil Brown’s lack of transfer activity at the KC, he is more than prepared to stick a bid in to get the ball rolling with Villareal, and that that is exactly what he has done.
Reportedly, he has made a substantial bid of £6.5 million, £500k more than what Villareal themselves had originally paid for the 19 year old.
Despite the big bid though, Hodgson seems like he is not prepared to drop his interest, with transfer problems of our very own down here by the Thames.
