Fulham – A Rosy Outlook?

The three points gained on Sunday in front of the Sky Sports cameras has given us renewed optimism for the rest of the season.

Sitting in tenth position is a far better proposition than lingering around the relegation places, hell, even Europe looks only a gnat`s breathe away!

But we need to keep our feet on the ground; with the table so compact it`ll only take two bad results to dump us back in the relegation quagmire. Despite this, Roy Hodgson remains optimistic suggesting that our future is bright, when he had this to say after the Newcastle game,

“We deserved the win over the 90 minutes if you ask me. Don’t get me wrong, we were hard pushed and I was especially concerned when they equalised because we weren’t on our game at that time, but I thought we deserved it overall.”

‘We’re trying to keep our feet on the ground and take results like this one with a pinch of salt. We don’t want to go down, but we’ll be hard pushed to get into Europe, that’s for sure.”

‘If we keep doing what we did today for the rest of the season, we’ll be OK.’

And I reckon he said it with a much-needed smile on his face as well.
