There are always casualties!

One of the stark realities of introducing a new manager is that there will, inevitably, be casualties.

An appointment inevitably triggers change with the new man looking to bring in familiar faces to surround himself with.

Mark Hughes hasn`t been in the job more than twenty-four hours and already the inference is that he`ll be joined at Craven Cottage by his close allies – Mark Bowen, Kevin Hitchcock and Eddie Niedzwecki.

If so, it would look like curtains for two Fulham stalwarts with Ray Lewington and Mike Kelly being moved out. This would be particularly harsh on Lewington who, only earlier this week, received praise from the club with regards to his handling of the squad whilst a new manager was sourced.

But, there is some good news for the referenced pair with the inference that they could well be joining up with Roy Hodgson at Liverpool.

We`ll keep you informed of any further developments!
