Fulham – A Hectic Schedule!

After a two week break, due to international football, Fulham have bounced back into action with three game sin six days.

In those three games we`ve done remarkably well. A 2-0 win over Hull City lifted us up the table, a 1-1 draw with AS Roma ensured our Europa League hopes thrive and a dramatic comeback against Manchester City, yesterday, ensured the spoils were shared.

These three fixtures have also been played at a time when the club has been hit by a run of injuries that far exceeds anything we experienced last season during our record breaking season whereby we came seventh.

We`ve had to make do without Andrew Johnson and Dickson Etuhu all week, we lost Danny Murphy and Paul Konchesky during the AS Roma game and the side that took the field at the City of Manchester Stadium, yesterday, had an element of unfamiliarity about it.

But, although we`ve been slightly handicapped Roy Hodgson has nothing but praise for his troops and during the post match press conference yesterday, uttered the following lines,

“We have players injured so it was a sterling effort for the players to earn a point.”

“We battled hard – the character of the team is outstanding.”

With Liverpool to follow this weekend, it`ll take a mammoth effort to keep the little unbeaten run going but, on current form, would you predict against us?
