Apparently it`s not, there is something called money involved!
And it seems that Fulham`s Dickson Etuhu is one of a number of Premier League stars who are being hard done by.
Apparently the players are owed £2 million by the Nigerian Football Federation for qualifying for the World Cup.
Add to that the £6 million that FIFA gives to countries knocked out at the group stages and it comes to a tidy sum that the players fear they`ll not see their fair share of.
The tension relating to the above is blamed, by those in some quarters, for Nigeria`s poor showing so far.
Now we don`t want to get involved in the nitty-gritty of all this but we would like to say we find it a crying shame that financial concerns have brushed away the brilliant jumpers for goal posts ethic the game grew up with!
