It was always going to be the case wasn`t it?
After pawing over our starting eleven against Blackburn and coming to a conclusion, somebody goes and throws a spanner in the works and makes us all look a little foolish, mind you some would say that isn`t too difficult.
There we were pontificating over whether Jimmy Bullard would make a return and opting for the affirmative that we find out the Bullardster will not even be in contention for a place after the club revealed he`d picked up a groin injury.
It`s not proving to be a good start to the New Year for Jimmy since picking up that dead-leg at Spurs, this is his third ailment in as many games. Hopefully though, it`ll be the last and we can welcome him back.
Meanwhile, we`ve re-assessed matters and the stating eleven, we believe, will now resemble the following,
Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky, Davies, Etuhu, Murphy, Dempsey, Johnson and Zamora.
That is unless somebody else knows different!
