Fulham marched into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a convincing 4-0 victory.

Two goals, in each half, were enough to ensure our name was in the hat for the last eight.

Roy Hodgson emphasised the importance he`s placed on the competition by fielding the same starting eleven he used for the recent 3-0 Premier League victory over Burnley.

In fact the only change to the eighteen was Fredrik Stoor replacing Stephen Kelly on the substitutes bench.

The visitors started a little shakily but shook off any nerves when Ben Davies tested Mark Schwarzer.

Thankfully, Fulham eased into a one goal lead midway through the half. A Brede Hangleand long ball was fired past Kasper Schmeichel by the boot of Simon Davies.

Despite being a goal down the visitors responded well. Hunt headed over from a Clapham cross. But it was to be Fulham that remained in the ascendancy.

Schmeichel did well to save a Damien Duff shot, Bobby Zamora saw a shot go over before the keeper saved two efforts from Dickson Etuhu.

Schwarzer was then called upon to produce a brilliant save to deny Westcarr before Fulham stretched their lead to two goals.

Zamora controlled the ball perfectly, held off a challenge, before firing home from the edge of the area.

Half time and 2-0 to Fulham.

The early stages of the second half saw Notts County try to reduce the arrears.

Ben Davies saw a shot go wide and Lee Hughes saw his shot saved by Schwarzer.

As the half progressed Nicky Shorey, venturing forward, saw a shot fly over the bar before, with seventy three minutes gone, Fulham stretched the lead to three goals when Damien Duff fired home from the edge of the area.

It was to be Duff`s last contribution with the Irishman being replaced by Bjorn Helge Riise.

Six minutes later the game was all over when Stefano Okaka, on for Zamora; fired a fourth goal home, again from around about the edge of the area.

A disappointing end to the week for Notts County but Fulham are still dreaming of a Wembley FA Cup Final!
