Who was it who sung that song that went something along the lines of “I`m H A P P Y, I`m H A P P Y” – because whoever did couldn`t have summed my mood up better.

On the eve of the match, considering our poor form against Liverpool allied with the fact that we have trouble scoring against them I`d have been well chuffed with a 1-1 draw. But to win 3-1, unbelievable and that`s got to be worth a few celebration drinks tonight.

Liverpool may crow that Gerrard was out but we were also lacking a few who can play a bit but, after a slow start we got exactly what we deserved – three points.

Don`t let Liverpool carp on about the two red cards – that`s their problem and both were, in my opinion, well deserved.

In the early stages of the game there was no indication of what was to come. Liverpool started the better and when Benayoun thumped a shot against the bar it looked only a matter of time before they opened the scoring.

But Bobby Zamora had other ideas when he tapped in from close range, for his fifth of the season, after a Damien Duff cross had skewed towards him.

Liverpool were huffing and puffing as half time approached and you knew it would take something special for them to draw level and that is exactly what happened.

Fernando Torres hit a belting shot from twenty-five yards that fairly flew past Mark Schwarzer to give the Spaniard his tenth goal of the season.

At half time Roy Hodgson was forced into making two changes taking off the injured duo of Duff and Kamara and bringing on Gera and Nevland.

Fulham started the second half well with Zamora looking lively. One run and cross saw Reina save Gera whilst another saw a run into the box, and a challenge from Carragher, result in a penalty appeal that was subsequently turned down.

Just past the hour mark Torres was taken off by Rafa Benitez and Babbel was introduced, a crucial decision by Benitez but probably with the Champions League in mind.

With seventy-three minutes played Fulham once again took the lead when a move involving Konchesky and Gera saw Nevland flick the ball home. We were on course for a famous win.

Soon after the odds of us doing so improved dramatically when first Degen and then Carragher were shown red cards, no way would we blow it against nine men.

Instead with three minutes of normal time, Clint Dempsey scored a third after Fulham carved a shaky Liverpool apart.

3-1 and in dream land!

If the Fulham support looked a picture of radiant happiness at the final whistle, one man who looked as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, Rafa Benitez, ambled off the Craven Cottage pitch aghast at what to do next.

See you all down the pub lads, it`s time for a beer session, results like this don`t come along too often for us do they!
