With the 2016 / 2017 season just a week away from getting started, Fulham set themselves up nicely for the big kick-off, against Newcastle, with a decent friendly fixture win.

In the last friendly before or big kick-off next Friday evening, Fulham welcomed the Premier League side Crystal Palace to Craven Cottage.

In a fascinating encounter it was to be Fulham that emerged the victors in the West London v South London clash.

Goals from our summer signing Sone Alone and Matt Smith gave Fulham a 2-0 lead before the Palace striker Keshi Anderson reduced the arrears.

With Alan Pardew`s side looking to get back on level terms Slavisa Jokanovic saw Floyd Ayite, another summer signing, score a third goal for Fulham right on the stroke of full time.

A decent win for the Cottagers and a win that should give the squad a confidence boost ahead of the visit for the first game of the new season; of Newcastle this Friday evening.
