Fulham deservedly beat a Wolves side who entered this fixture as the runaway leaders of the Championship.

The Cottagers have, in the last week or so, played three sides looking to be in the Premier League next season and have drawn one game and won two others.

However, it has to be said that the performance against Wolves, who lead the table, was the most pleasing with Fulham dominating the game

Fulham took the lead when Ryan Sessegnon continued his recent fine form netting his thirteenth goal of the season, with the teenager being on hand to score from close range after a shot from Aleksandar Mitrovic had been parried.

Wolves tried to get back into the game, but Marcus Bettinelli was on hand to twice deny Ivan Cavaleiro.

Thankfully, the points belonged to Fulham when scored a second when Mitrovic fired in a low shot.

The margin of victory could have been bigger, with Stefan Johansen almost curling in a third.

Wolves had a golden chance to score a consolation and make the last few minutes nervous, but Diogo Jota blasted over from close-range.

The 2-0 win extends Fulham`s unbeaten run to twelve games and they have won their last eight games on the bounce at Craven Cottage.

Another statistic shows that Fulham have kept clean-sheets in the last four of those eight wins, the first time this has happened since 1999.

Next up for Fulham is another game against a promotion contender when they take on Derby County (a), next weekend.
