In their last friendly before the season begins in earnest next weekend with a difficult trip to Hull, Fulham let a two goal lead slip to share the honours with our Italian visitors.

Unfortunately, anyone hoping to catch a glimpse of new signing Andrew Johnson would have been disappointed with the former Everton striker not playing a part in proceedings.

In conditions more befitting of any season other than summer Fulham got off to a lively start. Jimmy Bullard, the subject of much contract speculation in recent days, looked to be in good form in the middle of the park.

Fulham opened the scoring with twenty-minutes on the clock. Bobby Zamora scored the goal latching onto a neat cross from Ki-Hyeon and slotting past the Torino keeper, Matteo Sereni.

Mark Schwarzer had to be in top form to deny the visitors an equaliser when Aimo Diana carved out an opportunity. But just before the half hour mark Fulham doubled their lead and it looked only a matter of how many we`d win by.

The goal came after some more good work by Ki-Hyeon provided a chance that Zoltan Gera made no mistake with.

The second half saw a more even affair with the Italian side showing their credentials with some crisp football.

A free kick, by Rosina, almost flew in and when a header by Amoruso hit the post we thought we`d weathered the storm and with only ten minutes left I couldn`t have been the only one thinking we`d won comfortably.

Sadly, football has this unique habit of kicking you where it hurts and when Abbruscato`s volley flew past Schwarzer we knew we were in for a lively finish.

Sadly the goal gave the Italians the initiative and the equaliser came with only minutes left on the clock when Ogbanna netted after a misunderstanding involving two of the new boys, Zamora and Stoor, following a quick break by the Italian side.

On reflection, we should have won, we shouldn`t have let a two goal lead slip and Roy Hodgson will be keen to make sure that doesn`t happen again but a draw against a good Serie A side when we`re still a week away from the actual kick-off isn`t too bad!
