In a game that both sides played entertaining football it was Fulham hat took the honours.

For the fixture Martin Jol made two changes from the side that lost up at Old Trafford last Monday with Danny Murphy and Bryan Ruiz returning.

An early Fulham goal, in the second minute, was to end a four game drought, as Ruiz saw a shot parried away by Ruddy only for Dempsey to tuck away his 19th goal of the season.

Norwich responded by having the greater share of possession but Fulham were soon to double their lead when Duff scored with thirteen minutes played. Dempsey`s fine ball to Duff saw the Irishman beat Ruddy, who got a hand to it, with a low angled shot.

Fulham were looking for a third and both Dempsey and Pogrebnyak had half-chances. Norwich, trying to get back into the match, saw a shot from Ward flash wide.

Dempsey almost engineered a third goal before half time but after seeing his shot come back off the post Dembele could only watch on in anguish as Ryan Bennett got a tremendous block in.

The only negative aspect of an enthralling first half being the forced substitution of Pogrebnyak, with the Russian picking up an injury, with Kacaniklic.

Half Time – Fulham 2 Norwich 0

Fulham started the half where the left off in the first half, this time it was Kacaniklic who was denied by the combination of Ruddy, between the posts, and the woodwork.

Ruddy continued to put up resistance and another fine save saw Riise denied. Norwich`s endeavour paid dividends when Wilbraham reduced the arrears after he latched onto a Hoolahan ball to lash it home.

In a complete turnaround of affairs it was Norwich on top now but Fulham were able to hang on and end the run that had seen us lose three consecutive matches.
