Fulham`s hopes of claiming a promotion play-off place have suffered badly this week.

After dropping two points, at Craven Cottage, against Blackburn Rovers in midweek, Fulham dropped all three at Craven Cottage against a Wolves side who have been flirting with the relegation trap-door this season.

Wolves, to their credit, were worthy of the win and caused Fulham trouble throughout the ninety minutes.

David Button was forced to pull off a good save to stop Ben Marsahll from opening the scoring but the keeper could do nothing to stop Wolves from taking the lead when Helder Costa caught Ryan Fredericks dallying in possession allowing Ivan Cavaleiro to tap home.

Fulham rallied but chances that fell to Sone Aluko and Neeskens Kebano weren`t taken. Those missed chances were to be rued in the second half when Andreas Weimann made it 2-0 scoring his second goal in three games.

Wolves weren`t leading 2-0 for long though with Odoi, on as a substitute reducing the arrears with a deflected shot.

But with the home support urging their side to grab an equalizer, Wolves put the game beyond Fulham with a third goal when Dave Edwards converted a cross from Costa to give the visitors all three points.

With Sheffield Wednesday having lost at home to Reading, on Friday evening, Fulham missed a golden opportunity to move into the play-off places, Fulham currently sit one-point behind Sheffield Wednesday as we head towards the international break.
