The past three games have been very productive for Fulham.

The Cottagers have taken 7 points out of a possible 9 available and have started to climb the Championship table.

After the thrilling goal-fest that was the 5-4 victory against Sheffield United, at Bramall Lane in midweek, goals were a little harder to come by in this London derby.

Fulham took the three points on offer courtesy of a converted spot-kick by Oliver Norwood.

The goal came deep into stoppage time in the first half when Rui Fonte was upended, in the penalty area, by Conor McLaughlin. Norwood kept his cool to score with a spot-kick that found the bottom left corner of the goal.

But Fulham didn`t have things all their own way and Millwall can feel unlucky not to have taken something from this match.

Twice our visitors struck the woodwork, the first instance coming when, with just seven minutes complied, Tom Elliott, in yards of space, saw his header hit the post, with the second coming when a low drive by George Saville managed to evade everyone in a crowded penalty area only to strike the post.

The valuable win sees Fulham climb up to 12th in the Championship table, are the two wins in a matter of days signs that the club is moving in an onward and upward direction?
