That word inconsistency reared its ugly head at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

After a decent run of form only punctuated by that thrashing at Brighton, Fulham slipped to a defeat against a side, Nottingham Forest, who had only scored more than one goal away from home just once this season.

The loss to Nottingham Forest yesterday was our 10th home defeat of the season.

Forest started the better of the two teams as Fulham struggled to maintain possession and our visitors were to take the lead when Robert Tesche met a free-kick and his shot flew past Bettinelli in the Fulham goal.

Our visitors then doubled their lead when Hyndman brought down Tesche and Lansbury scored from the spot.

Fulham battled back and were unlucky when a shot from McCormack hit the bar, but the arrears were reduced, in the second half, when Smith headed home from a corner.

But any hopes of Fulham snatching a point were over when Lansbury scored his second goal of the game from a cross from Eric Lichaj.
