Another late goal, at Craven Cottage, ensured that Fulham took a point from a game they were expected to win against Bolton Wanderers.

Bolton, bottom of the Championship table, hadn`t won away from home all season but went so-close to gabbing all three points at Craven Cottage.

Phil Parkinson`s side had taken the lead in the 28th minute when a long clearance by the Bolton goalkeeper, Ben Alnwick, was collected by Sammy Ameobi, the striker slipped through two Fulham defenders before unleashing a shot that beat David Button in the Fulham goal.

Fulham almost equalised before half-time when the woodwork derived Aboubakar of a stunning equaliser when his chip beat the keeper but not the frame of the goal.

Bolton could have doubled their lead after the break but Button did well to save a long-range effort from Adam Armstrong.

Fulham had chances to equalize but two that fell to Neeskens Kebano didn`t come to fruition.

But, with it looking as if Bolton were going to grab a first away victory, in the Championship, in thirty-two attempts, Tom Cairney came to Fulham`s rescue.

The 94th minute equalizer coming after a cross from Kevin McDonald was met by the head of Cairney and the rippling net sent the home support wild with delight.
