One of our former players is the subject of some transfer speculation.

Steve Sidwell, who was a competent operator during his time at Craven Cottage, could be set to leave his current club, Stoke City, to move to Leeds United.

Sidwell, now 32-years of age and approaching the veteran stage of his career, is seen as somebody who could become their midfield general as Leeds United make a concerted push for promotion.

Uwe Rosler, in charge of the Yorkshire club, had originally looked at Joey Barton as the man to lead his charge, but has had a change of heart.

If Leeds can pull off this deal, it`ll be interesting to see our paths cross again.
