Former Fulham Boss Gets Off To A Winning Start In His New Role

|

After being axed as the manager of Fulham Football Cub, after just 106 days, Claudio Ranieri didn’t take long to get back into football management.

The veteran Italian, just eight days out of work, landed on his feet when he made a sentimental return to the club he’d managed before and also supported as a boy, Roma.

On reporting the news, we suggested we’d keep a look out for how Claudio gets on, after all, it’d be churlish not to.

Well, it turns out that his first game in charge in his second spell in charge at Roma, saw his side get a well-received win, beating Empoli 2-1 at home.

Roma took the lead through Stephen El Shaarawy with Empoli equalising through Juan Jesus with a header from Patrik Schick ensuring Claudio celebrated his first game in charge with a win, something he also did whilst in charge at Fulham.

Now whether this form will continue or whether it’ll slip away, just as it did at Fulham, remains to be seen, nevertheless, we’ll keep a close eye on proceedings and report back as deemed necessary.
