It is another six day and six nights before the transfer window officialy opens, yet these days all I read about is how depressed a Fulham fan is because of the lack of transfer activity, well here’s the facts. Five clubs including us, Fulham, have not signed a player but does that have have been mainly a free transfer or one for the future.

Arsenal have signed a young goalkeeper, Luis Fabianski and he will more than likely be shipped out on loan.

Aston Villa have signed no one.

Birmingham have signed Stuart Parnaby on a free transfer.

Blackburn have signed no one and won’t do until their takeover by Daniel Williams.

Bolton have signed Jlloyd Samuel on a free transfer, Gavin McCann for one million pounds and Zoltan Harsanyi from FC Senec on an undiclosed fee.

Chelsea have signed three players on a free transfer.

Derby have signed no one.

Everton have signed no one.

Fulham have signed no one.

Liverpool have signed two Hungarian youngsters.

Manchester City have signed no one and won’t until they appoint a manager.

Manchester United have spent over fifty million pounds on three players, probably not signing anyone else this summer.

Middlesbrough have signed two players, one free transfer.

Newcastle, always going to wheel and deal for all the summer with Sam Allyrdyce as manager. Two players already, one fee involved.

Portsmouth read above but with Harry Redknapp as manager.

Reading, one signing, Kalifa Cisse.

Sunderland, one signing, Greg Halford.

Tottenham, two young signings but for quite large fees.

West Ham United, one, Scott Parker.

Wigan, three players, two freebies.

You see most of these transfers have been freebies and alot are transfers for the future, so to be fair there are around half of the clubs in the Premiership who haven’t made a ‘proper’ signing, so wait for first of July, the official opening of the transfer window and let the real fun begin.
