Now whether Felix Magath is the right man for the job or not is a subject that could provide an excellent debate sometime in the ext few weeks.

But whilst he`s tasked with the job of turning around the spiraling downward fortunes of our club, it is our duty to get behind him.

There`s no doubting that Magath has an extremely tough task on his hands, especially with the majority of the names in our squad having departed Craven Cottage.

Following our third successive defeat, in the three games we`ve played in the Championship since dropping down from the Premier League, Magath had this to say to the media following Wolves 1-0 win,

“I`m sorry for the defeat again.”

“I can only ask for patience because we have a young team.”

“I know it might be a tough beginning to the season but I`m sure we`re on the right way and I`m sure having young players was the right decision.”

“In our situation now we need a win.”

“Three points in a game will boost our confidence.”

“We will get two or three more players. We`re working on that, especially in the defence.”

“It is a long season. I don`t worry about the situation now.”

“We know we do not have the strongest team physically but the idea was that we had a team that can play.”

On the evidence of our start to the season, we need those defensive reinforcements pretty damn quick!
