Fears Expressed That Fulham’s Star Of The Future Isn’t Going To Sign That New Contract

|

Although Fulham’s main priority is trying to ensure the club retains its Premier League status by climbing out of the bottom three, it is, in my opinion, not our only concern.

This morning, I’ve stumbled across an article in the Standard, that implies that the long-term future of Ryan Sessegnon is still a major concern,

The most talented teenager the club has brought through the ranks in many a year currently has just eighteen months left on his current contract.

Despite negotiations, according to our quoted source, having begun last year, the deal is still to be agreed upon and finalised.

This season was supposed to be the season in which the 18-year-old became a star on the Premier League stage, but, despite his undoubted talent, it hasn’t happened for the youngster with his starting appearances, just lately, being restricted by Claudio Ranieri.

Our fears, here at Vital Fulham, are that due to not being a regular in the starting eleven and with a possible return to the Championship looming large on the horizon, Ryan might very well be considering an option of leaving Craven Cottage, this summer, to further his career.
