It seems an age since we used to rave over our front two partnership of Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack.

Losing both in one summer transfer window was a gut-wrenching blow from which we took a while to recover.

However, it`s interesting to see how the fortunes of the duo have differed since leaving Craven Cottage.

Dembele, out of contract, was snapped up by Celtic for a small compensation fee and has gone on to have a wonderful season. A plethora of goals have seen the young Frenchman linked with a variety of top European clubs and with a huge price-tag on his head.

On the other hand, McCormack, who was sold to Aston Villa for a huge sum has seen his fortunes dip. A poor spell at Villa allied with a spat with Steve Bruce saw the striker loaned to Nottingham Forest.

Now, with there seemingly being no future at Villa Park, the Scottish international striker is being linked with a move to Sunderland, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.

It`ll be interesting to keep an eye on the duo next season to see how they fare.
