Having followed the progress of the England U19 side with some interest, seeing as the excellent Ryan Sessegnon has been involved, it`d be churlish not to continue to do so.

Yesterday, the U19 side took on the Czech Republic U19 side in Tbilisi.

At stake for the winners was a place in the European Championships Final, in Gori, Georgia, this Saturday.

In what was an extremely tense affair, it was to be England who edged through to the final beating the Czech Republic 1-0.

The winning goal came deep into stoppage time with a 93rd minute winner from Lukas Nmecha, the Manchester City youngster finishing with an exquisite back-heel after combining with Marcus Edwards, of Tottenham.

This Saturday will be the third time an England U19 side has reached a European Championship Final, on the previous two occasions they`ve been beaten by France and the Ukraine, in 2005 and 2009 respectively.

Here`s hoping that Ryan Sessegnon can do his bit in making it third time lucky against Portugal.
