England came out in group H of the draw for qualifying for the 2014 world cup in Brazil, and we will face Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and San Marino as a result.

From Vital England:

The draw for the 2014 world cup qualifiers has been made, and England will come up against some familiar opponents…

With France failing to secure a spot among the ‘top seeds’ the media frenzy was that we could have been drawn against the 1998 winners?

Why worry though, if we had drawn them we had drawn them – simples! As it happens we did not, they went into group I with Spain…

Drawn into group H we will face Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and San Marino.

Of course this is not an ‘easy group’ at all although it is one that we would be ‘expected’ to top, thus qualify for Brazil automatically – and under a new, and hopefully better, manager we can make sure we do this as we seek to rebuild our reputation…
