Dreaming Of A Walk Down Wembley Way Other Than On Saturday

|

With the Wembley visit, last May, still fresh in our minds, we return to the famous stadium this weekend when, in our second game since returning to the top-flight, we take on Tottenham Hotspur.

However, this Saturday might not be the last time we venture to that particular part of London this season, we could, if Lady Luck smiles sweetly enough, return in one of the two domestic cup competitions.

Earlier this week the first-round of the Carabao Cup took place, after the plethora of ties had been settled, the draw for the second round took place.

As was the case for the first-round, the draw was split into two sections, Northern and Southern, with Fulham, as you’d expect, being in the Southern section.

The draw proved to be quite favourable to Fulham with the club being given a home tie against the League Two side, Exeter City.

It is a tie you’d expect the Cottagers, even if they field a weakened team, to win.

Is it too early to start dreaming of walking down Wembley Way for a domestic cup final?
