After a lengthy process, Fulham finally made it through to the Europa League group stages last night.

Taking a three goal lead to the Ukraine, to face Dnipro, the betting man was always going to favour the London side.

Dnipro had looked a decent enough side at Craven Cottage but not the sort of side to fear.

With Bobby Zamora out with an ankle injury, Martin Jol chose to play Moussa Dembele in a striking role alongside Andrew Johnson.

Matthew Briggs, the star of the first leg, had to be content with a place on the bench.

The only goal of the game was cored in the twenty-third minute when Evgeni converted an exquisite cross from Kravechenko

Although our hosts pressed for a second goal, a goal that would bring them back into the game, the Fulham rearguard held firm.

Keeping possession became the name of the game and the only bad spot of the night came when John Arne Riise was forced to limp off after a mere twenty odd minutes with a leg injury.

We now await news of who we`ll get in the group stage draw.
